"I Know Places", "You Are In Love", and "Wildest Dreams"

Today's Taylor Swift songs are the introductory meanings of "I Know Places", "You Are In Love", and "Wildest Dreams".  Rolling Stone did it again and released three new song titles today in a follow up article 22 Things You Learn Hanging Out With Taylor Swift on September 10, 2014.

Who are they about?

"Wildest Dreams" is Taylor's take on love. Taylor tells Rolling Stone "I think the way I used to approach relationships was very idealistic. I used to go into them thinking, 'Maybe this is the one — we'll get married and have a family, this could be forever.' Whereas now I go in thinking, 'How long do we have on the clock — before something comes along and puts a wrench in it, or your publicist calls and says this isn't a good idea?'"

"You do feel a little bit like you got run over by a truck. You'll be riding in the car with someone and all of a sudden it comes on the radio that he bought you a diamond ring and he's going to propose. And you look at him and go, '...that's not true, right?' And he says, 'No that's not true!' Can you blame me for wanting less of that?"

I'm so sorry Taylor. Dating is no fun.  I really, really, really wouldn't want to to it in the public eye.  I really HOPE you can find someone that doesn't care about any of that and you can just have fun being yourselves.

She did have a glimmer of hope later in the interview.  When asked if she'd ever been in love she said, "Looking back? Not real love. Not the kind that lasts. I think that's still ahead of me — which is really exciting."

"You Are In Love" is a song that was cowritten with Jack Antonoff.  He says it has "a very 'Secret Garden' Springsteen vibe." I have an updated analysis of this song here.

"I Know Places" was cowritten with Ryan Tedder.

Thank you Rolling Stone for releasing more music titles!!! I can't wait to hear them.

Interestingly enough Harry Styles wrote a song about Taylor in rebuttal to her album, "Perfect".  Click here for the meaning of that song.
